Welcome to Our Little Library.  We love to read around here - in fact reading books when my oldest was just a few months old is how God laid the conviction on my heart to homeschool.  For the past few years, I have enjoyed sharing our book selections in real time over on Instagram but I thought it would be fun to compile them all together in one place here on our website.  

 

Please keep in mind that some of these titles are timeless classics, while others are newly published.  Some are more serious, while others are just for fun.  You will also find a mix of anything from lenghty novels to beginner chapter books to pictures books.  I will quote the amazing C.S. Lewis because he said it so perfectly that “No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally – and often far more – worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond.”.

Gosh...  don't you just love that?  I truly believe this with all my heart.   I have read so many heart warming books with my children since we began this home educating journey - most of which I never read myself as a child - so many wonderful memories we have made sharing stories together.

You should also know that I am very protective of what comes into our home - the content + value + quality - not only in the media and movies our family watches - but equally in the books we read and have available in our home.  We do have some "twaddle" as Miss Mason would say; but it is few + far between.  We do not strictly follow any one method of education but learning though literature + books has always played a huge part in how we homeschool so we have accumulated quite the collection over the years.  You will find a little bit of it all here in our little library because we still have all ages + stages around here at our house.
